Also did you know? Barnyard millet is the fastest growing crop among other millets 😊.  Interesting right.πŸ˜ƒ

Okay coming to the health benefits it offers us - 

They are rich in fiber, low in calories, low in glycemic index, gluten free and good source of iron. Does this need any further explanation 😳. 

Coming to our recipe, Set dosa is the most filling food in the menu of any south Indian hotels. Don't you agree? πŸ˜‰.

Set dosa followed by a hot cup of tea or filter coffee is a pure bliss I feel ☕😍.

Text recipe -

millet set dosa



Standard measuring cups have been used.

Ingredients list

*****************

1 cup barnyard millet / oodalu / siridhanya
1\4th cup urad dal / split black gram /uddina bele
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds /methi /menthya
1\2 cup thin rice flakes / thin poha / Telu avalakki
Cooking oil for making dosas


Instructions -

step 1 - Soak all the ingredients together for 5 to 6 hours minimum.

step 2 - blend smooth in a mixer grinder.


step 3 - let ferment overnight.


step 4 - mix the fermented batter slowly  and spread it (set dosa sizes) over a hot tawa .


step 5 - drizzle some oil when the pores start to appear on your set dosa, roast on the both sides and enjoy with your favorite sides.
