Everyone of us are familiar with carrot halwa. For a change, let us learn how to make carrot kheer today.

Trust me it tastes absolutely delicious. It will be a wonderful treat for your guests as well.

You can make it in just 10 minutes.

I have tried making it in the simplest way possible using a pressure cooker.

Ingredients list

2 carrots (I have taken large ones)

1 cup milk

1\2 cup condensed milk (adjust to your taste)

2 tablespoons Chopped almonds & pistachios

Method

1. Wash clean, peel and grate the carrots.


2. Add 1 cup milk and grated carrot on top of it (do not mix) in a pressure cooker.


3. Close the lid and cook on high flame for 8 whistles.


4. Turn off the flame and let the pressure settle.


5. Now add in condensed milk and dry roasted almonds and pistachios.


6. Mix well and serve hot or chilled.
